He has participated in the litigation of adverse possession cases, boundary disputes, and bequeathment challenges pertaining to conditional life estates in real property. He is regularly involved in Probate matters, and has litigated Probate Appeals in Superior Court. Attorney Carriero has Jury Trial experience litigating cases involving Construction claims for negligent installation of modular homes, negligent design, and Unfair Trade Practice Act claims. In addition, he has appeared in Jury Trials involving personal injury related to negligent food preparation and negligent supervision of food service employees. In addition, Attorney Carriero has been involved in the Arbitration of Personal Injury claims.

Stephen J. Carriero received his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law after graduating from Villanova University. He is a life long resident of the City of Stamford, and has assisted many people in the community with the purchase and sale of their homes and bank refinances. And while seeing the smiles on client faces after purchasing their first homes, or selling to move into an upgrade, Attorney Carriero's experience in the area of property law extends into more contentious areas of litigation.

Attorney Carriero's litigation practice also extends into the area of Criminal Law, where he has handled hundreds of cases involving Domestic Violence, DWI, Possession of Narcotics, Breach of Peace, Assault, Burglary, Robbery and Risk of Injury to Minors. He has appeared as Counsel and/or Co-Counsel in Jury Trials ranging from Breach of Peace to Felony Possession of illegal Automatic Weapons by a Felon, Violations of Protective Orders, Assault on Police, and Possession of Explosives.

Attorney Carriero's Appellate experience extends into both the Civil and Criminal arenas. He has been "on brief" in Contract related matters heard by the State Appellate Court, and is currently also "on brief" in the appeal of a murder conviction directly to the Supreme Court of Connecticut.

Attorney Carriero handles the firm's New York State Criminal matters in bordering New York areas including Westchester County, Port Chester, New Rochelle, Harrison, Bedford, Bronx, Queens and Manhattan. He has assisted in the Appeal of a Federal Drug Importation case to the Second Circuit, and complex Federal Sentencing cases in both New York and Connecticut.

Attorney Carriero is licensed to practice in the State of Connecticut as well as New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, Criminal Defense Trial Lawyers Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
